The rhododendron

The rhododendron -from the Greek rhodon (rose) and dendron (tree),It's a woody descendant of the magnolia whose habit ranges from crawling to shrubby to treelike.

As for planting and cultivation,a rhododendron needs three things above all else drainage ,drainage, and drainage.Rhododendrons also prefer acidic soil, using a leaf mulch, bark chips,or pine needles will help with acidity.
Rhododendron make wonderful companions to otheracid-loving plants and trees, such as ferns and dogwoods.
